Joshua Faudem is an Israeli-American documentary filmmaker, film & news producer and film researcher. Faudem’s career, spanning over 20 years, includes a body of work that explores themes as varied as the Middle East conflict, social issues, and the arts, as well as TV and news production. He has worked with major international television stations including, TV Asahi (Japan) and Record TV (Brazil).
Faudem studied Documentary Film at the Film & Television Academy (FAMU) in Prague. He has won multiple awards, including being named Winner of the Conflict and Resolution Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival, and Winner of the Pierre Salinger Award for Best Documentary Film at the Avignon Film Festival for his acclaimed film “Blues by the Beach”.
He has directed feature-length documentaries – “A Will To Dance” and “Russki Battalion” – as well as several short films, such as “Knight of Peace”, “Raanan”, and “Jerusalemite”. Faudem has produced multiple films, including “Rocking in the Red Zone“, “Jesus Freaks,” and “The Last Sermon”.
In addition to his work in film, Faudem is also the author of the graphic novel “Mike’s Place: A True Story of Love, Blues, and Terror in Tel Aviv” published by Macmillan in 2015 and inspired by his documentary film “Blues by the Beach”.
